Patience and Promise: A Ghazal on Waiting for a Lover’s Letter #Ghazal #Poetry #Letter

No Matter How Long Your Letter Takes, as Long as It Promises to Come

In the quiet of night, where the stars softly hum,
I wait with my heart, for your letter to come.

The ink of your words, like a song yet unsung,
Dances in my dreams, while I long for it to come.

Each word that you write, a whisper in my ear,
I hold to your promise, for I know it will come.

The moonlight grows pale, but my hope stays alight,
No matter the distance, your letter shall come.

The seasons may change, the winds may grow strong,
But time stands still, till your message will come.

I trace every line, of your old letters past,
And dream of the day, when the new one will come.

The ink may grow dry, the paper may age,
But love, it stays true, as I wait for it to come.

The shadows may creep, and the sun may descend,
Yet faith keeps me warm, till your words will come.

I read and reread, the silence you’ve sent,
For silence too speaks, when a letter is to come.

In the silences of the night, when the world is asleep,
My soul is awake, for your letter to come.

No matter how long, the road you must take,
I trust in your vow, that the letter will come.

For letters are seeds, that blossom with time,
And patience a garden, where love’s blooms come.

So send me your words, like the sun sends its rays,
No matter how far, I’ll wait till they come.

And when it arrives, that long-awaited note,
The world will rejoice, as if spring has come.

For love knows no bounds, and time bends its knee,
When hearts promise truth, the letter must come.

So let it take time, let it wander the earth,
As long as it’s true, I know it will come.

In the echoes of night, in the first light of dawn,
I’ll cherish each moment, till your letter will come.

No matter the wait, no matter the storm,
For love, my dear friend, your letter will come.

Through mountains and streams, through deserts and snow,
No path is too rough, your words will still come.

So write, my dear love, with your heart on each line,
No matter how long, I’ll wait till it comes.

For letters are anchors, in the seas of our souls,
And promises kept, mean your letter will come.

So I sit in the still, with the stars overhead,
And trust in the dawn, that your letter will come.

For love is a river, and time is its flow,
And patience a virtue, for letters to come.

So no matter the wait, no matter the years,
I’ll hold to your promise, that one day it’ll come.

For love is the thread, that binds us as one,
And your letter, dear heart, is destined to come.

So let the world spin, let the clock hands run wild,
I trust in your word, that your letter will come.

In the whisper of leaves, in the hush of the breeze,
You murmur in my ear, saying “soon it will come.”

So I’ll wait by the window, with faith in my heart,
And greet the day, when your letter will come.

For patience is love, in its purest of forms,
And trust is the key, that your letter will come.

So take all the time, that you need to be true,
For I know in my soul, your letter will come.
