A Tapestry of Service: Adani Group Fosters Positive Experiences at Maha Kumbh
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, recently embarked on a visit to Prayagraj to witness the grandeur of Maha Kumbh. He commenced his journey at the ISKCON service camp. Here, the Adani Group, in collaboration with ISKCON, diligently serves 100,000 free meals daily through the “Mahaprasad Seva.” Adani believes that serving devotees is akin to serving Mother Ganga. He views service as a fundamental spiritual practice.
He then proceeded to visit the ISKCON kitchen where the Mahaprasad is meticulously prepared. Following this, Adani traveled to Triveni Sangam, the sacred confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers. He offered prayers at this holy site, seeking blessings for the nation and his family.
Subsequently, Adani visited the revered Lete Hanuman Temple, one of the sixteen renowned Hanuman temples in India. He believes Maha Kumbh is a grand yagna, a sacred ritual, of Indian culture and faith. He then visited the Geeta Press camp to personally review their efforts. The Adani Group, in partnership with Geeta Press, is actively distributing one crore free “Aarti Sangrah” books during Maha Kumbh.
Adani believes that Kumbh is a true penance of service. He met with the sanitation workers who tirelessly maintain cleanliness at the Kumbh Mela area. He generously boosted their morale. Despite the massive influx of devotees, the fair area remarkably remains spotless.
The Adani Group is conducting Mahaprasad service for an impressive five million devotees from January 13 to February 26. ISKCON has established two dedicated kitchens. Mahaprasad service will be readily available at 40 locations within the Kumbh area. Moreover, golf carts have been thoughtfully arranged for the convenience of the disabled, elderly, and mothers with young children. Five lakh copies of Geeta Saar will also be distributed amongst the devotees.
The Adani Group’s initiatives at Maha Kumbh unequivocally demonstrate its commitment to community welfare. The Mahaprasad Seva provides sustenance to countless pilgrims, ensuring their well-being. Furthermore, the focus on accessibility ensures that everyone can fully participate in the spiritual experience without hindrance.
The collaboration with Geeta Press actively promotes the dissemination of religious literature, enriching the spiritual journey of the pilgrims. Moreover, the recognition and support for sanitation workers emphasize the importance of their invaluable contribution to the success of the event. This recognition fosters a sense of pride and appreciation among these essential workers.
The Adani Group’s approach to service at Maha Kumbh goes beyond mere philanthropy. It focuses on creating positive experiences for all stakeholders. By providing free meals, ensuring accessibility, and recognizing the efforts of essential workers, the Adani Group enhances the overall pilgrim experience.
The Mahaprasad Seva, for instance, not only addresses the basic need for food but also fosters a sense of community and shared experience among the pilgrims. Sharing a meal transcends religious boundaries and creates a sense of unity and togetherness.
Similarly, the provision of golf carts for the disabled, elderly, and mothers with young children demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity. These measures ensure that everyone, regardless of their physical limitations or family responsibilities, can comfortably navigate the vast Kumbh Mela grounds.
The collaboration with Geeta Press goes beyond simply distributing books. It promotes the dissemination of knowledge and fosters a deeper understanding of religious texts. This enhances the spiritual journey of the pilgrims and enriches their overall experience.
Furthermore, the recognition and support for sanitation workers not only boosts their morale but also highlights the importance of their often-overlooked contribution. By acknowledging their efforts, the Adani Group demonstrates a genuine appreciation for their dedication and hard work.

The Adani Group’s multifaceted efforts at Maha Kumbh exemplify a holistic approach to service. These initiatives not only address the immediate needs of pilgrims but also contribute significantly to the cultural and spiritual enrichment of the event. By focusing on creating positive experiences for all stakeholders, the Adani Group sets a new benchmark for corporate social responsibility at religious gatherings.
