I Saw Her This Morning: A Fleeting Encounter In Various Forms Of Prose and Poetry #WriteAPageADay #Day21

Sonnet:

I saw her this morning, in the light of dawn,
A vision of beauty, I could scarce believe,
The gentle breeze her hair did lightly fawn,
Her eyes as bright as stars on winter's eve.

I caught her gaze and time did seem to halt,
As if the world had stopped its endless spin,
For in that moment, she was all my thought,
And all the beauty that could dwell therein.

She smiled at me, a smile that touched my heart,
And in that smile I saw a world of hope,
A world where love could thrive and never part,
A world where beauty's light would always cope.

So let me say, though she may never know,
That in her eyes, I saw the world's pure glow.

Haiku:

I saw her this morn,
Ethereal beauty bright,
Nature's gift to all.
Free verse:

I saw her this morning, and my heart was glad,
For in her presence, all my troubles fade,
The beauty of her smile, the joy she had,
Could light the darkest path, and fears evade.

I watched her as she walked, her grace astound,
Each step a gentle dance, a dream on earth,
And in her wake, a fragrance did surround,
A scent of life and love, of joy and mirth.

Oh, how I wish to speak, to tell her true,
The beauty that she brings, the world she stirs,
But words fail me, and so I just pursue,
A dream of love, that in her light occurs.

I saw her this morning, and my heart was glad,
For in her presence, all my fears were shed.
Pantoum:

I saw her this morning, so bright and fair,
Her eyes like stars, her hair like golden sun,
She smiled at me, and I felt all despair,
Realising that she was the only one.

Her eyes like stars, her hair like golden sun,
Her grace astound, her beauty so divine,
And knew that she was the only one,
The one that I had sought, the one to be mine.

Her grace astound, her beauty so divine,
Could light the darkest path, and fears evade,
The one that I had sought, the one to be mine,
The dream of love, in her light occurred.

Could light the darkest path, and fears evade,
She smiled at me, and I felt all despair,
The dream of love, in her light occurred,
I saw her this morning, so bright and fair.

Narrative:
I saw her this morning as I was walking to work. She was standing on the opposite side of the street, waiting for the bus. The sun was just starting to rise, and the light made her hair shine like gold. Her eyes caught mine for a brief moment, and I felt a spark of recognition. We had never met before, but in that moment, I felt like I knew her.

As I continued on my way, I couldn’t stop thinking about her. Her image was burned into my mind, and I found myself glancing over my shoulder to see if she was still there. But she was gone, lost in the crowd of people rushing to their destinations.

For the rest of the day, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I had missed a chance to meet someone special. I kept replaying the moment in my head, wondering if I should have crossed the street and introduced myself. But the opportunity was gone, and all I had was the memory of a beautiful stranger on a Monday morning.

Descriptive:
I saw her this morning, and I was struck by her beauty. She had long, dark hair that cascaded down her back in loose waves. Her skin was smooth and flawless, and her eyes were a deep shade of green. She was wearing a simple white dress that flowed around her in the gentle breeze.

As she walked by, I caught a whiff of her perfume, a subtle floral scent that lingered in the air long after she had passed. I couldn’t help but stare, mesmerized by her grace and poise.

It wasn’t just her physical appearance that caught my attention, though. There was something about her aura, a quiet confidence and inner strength that radiated from her. Even in the midst of the bustling city streets, she seemed to be in her own world, lost in her thoughts and unbothered by the chaos around her.

For a moment, I was transported to a different reality, one where beauty and peace were the norm. But as she turned the corner and disappeared from view, I was jolted back to reality, left only with the memory of a fleeting encounter.

Reflective:
I saw her this morning, and it made me realize how much I crave connection. In a world where so much of our interactions are digital and superficial, seeing a stranger in the flesh can be a powerful experience.

As I caught her eye, I felt a jolt of electricity, a reminder that we are all human and seeking connection in our own ways. It’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day grind, but moments like this remind us that there is more to life than just going through the motions.

I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again, but the memory of her brief presence in my life will stay with me. It’s a reminder to be present, to seek out connection in whatever form it may take, and to never take the beauty of life for granted.
