The Infinite Slumber: Exploring the Cosmos Within Dreams #Poetry

The Infinite Slumber

Warmth folds like velvet, a cocoon of dusk
Between the soft hum of eyelashes brushing air
And the weight of the universe compressing time.
Red—bold like a proclamation—
Yet silent, a whispering guard of dreams.

A child's breath,
Steady like the ticking of forgotten clocks.
What futures bloom in this tender stillness?
The palm, small yet vast,
Curled into secrets the stars cannot decipher.

This is not just sleep;
It is the anthem of still galaxies,
The slow waltz of gravity,
The hymn of every mother’s hope.

Dreamscapes spill out of the image,
Ink dripping into realities unspoken.
Pillow creases become hieroglyphs,
Translating the child's pulse into poems of love.

Are these eyelids curtains?
And behind them,
A world no artist can imagine,
No philosopher can chart?

The wallpaper, loud and alive,
Curls into infinity behind this quiet rebellion—
The rebellion of being unburdened.
Of surrendering not to chaos but to grace,
To the endless invitation of sleep.

Fingers, delicate as whispers,
Tangle in unseen threads,
Pulling a tapestry of forgotten lullabies
From the womb of time itself.

Everything converges here:
The blanket's floral melodies,
The kiss of warmth on innocence,
The inevitable pull of dawn,
And the fleeting permanence of now.

Here, poetry does not end—
It multiplies, reborn in every exhale,
Infinite in slumber's cradle.
