Fracture Hymn: The Beauty of Breaking and Healing #W3Prompt

Broke once.
Broke twice.
Screamed into the hollow of myself,
but the echoes stitched me back.

Rust binds.
Wire holds.
Red veins weave the story bold.

The healing was—
(is, will be)
Beautiful.
So am I.

Very interpretive way of using both the prompt and the visuals in the photo. Well done.

    Thank you for participating!

I love your poem! I really hadctrouble to choose a line which stands out, because I like them all!

In the end I chose: “Screamed into the hollow of myself, but the echoes stitched me back.”

The idea to be stiched back up from the echoes is a powerful one!

Jaideep, this piece carries such powerful resilience! The stark, concise lines mirror the breaking and mending process beautifully, making the healing feel just as profound as the fractures.

    Much love,

Brilliantly written, Jaideep! I have to echo Svenja and say that “Screamed into the hollow of myself, / but the echoes stitched me back” were powerful lines.
