I Kiss the Letters You Forgot to Write

I sleep
in the comma
between your yes
and your hesitation.

You are the candle I burnt for years
only to read your silence.

Your name:
a scratched vinyl on my ribs,
still spinning.

My lips mispronounce
every future
without you.

I tried
to unlove you
in lowercase,
but even the periods
begged for ellipses.
